Weeks after my T2D diagnosis, I summarized my understanding of T2D with this video clip

I think it is still relevant. Except that a normal HbA1c should be < 5.5% and Low Carbs High Fats + Intermittent Fasting would likely be even more effective to achieve normal HbA1c levels.

The Normal A1C Level

My own experience is that for a T2D, even at HbA1c 5.3%, I am still unable to handle my usual carb loaded meal, a standard serving of chicken rice without a sharp spike to 8.0-10.0 mmol. A half serving of rice will fall below 8 mmol postmeal…but often triggers intense hunger 2-3 hours later…
